That first article’s headline is kind of bothering me. They note pretty early on that “In the third quarter of 2012, 14,000 women left the tech sector labour force. By comparison, only 2,000 men departed the sector,” but then blithely ignore that for the rest of the article. Apparently all those women for whom tech was once a dream career but who either can’t get a job in the field any more or would rather do anything else to escape it just don’t know what it’s really like to work in tech?
