Open thread: terrible puns

Hello again! Welcome to another open thread for comments on any subject fitting our policy!

Feature item for this open thread is this meta-pun:

I entered ten puns in a contest to see which would win. No pun in ten did.

Do you have any amazing, terrible, or amazible puns to share with the class?

Should be obvious: oppressive language or sentiments not welcome, no matter how punny.

Could you tell me why my comment on the Hugo thread didn’t appear? I do not believe it violated any of your guidelines. I’d like to know whether there was a technical glitch or if it was deliberately removed. I don’t dispute your right to post whichever comments you want. I just want to know if it’s worth taking time to write comments that seem reasonable to me (a card-carrying feminist) to my favorite blog or if they’ll be sent to the bit bucket without notice.

    Thanks.

I’m one of the moderators, and I don’t see your comment as having shown up in the pending(moderation) or spam queue. I suspect it was a technical glitch caused by the ridiculous load that post generated on the server.
